Class Description
Roman Blinds can be a fantastic addition to your house interior and great way to create shade without using too much fabric. You will need to have Beginners Plus/Intermediate sewing skills and ideally you would have already attended our "Zip my cushion" or "Make a lined curtain" class.
During this 3 hours class you will make a sample unlined roman blind and combine the following sewing and DIY techniques:
- - Estimating fabric quantities
- - Learn how to measure windows
- - Calculate fabric quantities
- - Allow for seams & turnings
- - Add trimmings, rods, battens
- - Apply headings & velcro
- - Cord blinds up professionally
- - Discuss systems available
- - Assemble pieces together
With the knowledge gained in making this sample roman blind, you will be able to go away and make your roman blinds for any window in your house.
What do I need to bring?
Nothing! All machines are provided, as well as all the fabric and materials required. Refreshments and biscuits are included and a glass of wine for all evening classes to help create a seamless atmosphere.
